God's Chisel

I hope Patty won't mind, but I saw this and I just couldn't wait until next Monday to share it! Perhaps it is for one very specific Siesta...or three or twelve!

"For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." Ephesians 2:10 New Living Translation
After watching this, the thought occurred to me: God doesn't just chisel away at us so that we are left to be a shell of our former self. He chisels out of us something that looks entirely different -- something created anew. Not just changed, but something brand spankin' new!

Whatever our "thing" is that we are struggling with -- the thing that God is calling us to have a whole heart faith over -- He is able to chisel it away. We will not just act different. Anyone can act different. When God puts hammer to chisel, He recreats His child to be different. A new creation.

Perhaps that is Elohim, our Creator God's greatest creation yet!

Speechless,
Dori

Good Morning, Dori. I am overwhelmed by what I just saw. This morning in my study of Psalm 145 as I was praying it back to the Father, He reminded my that I am His workmanship. I love the confirmation. This was such a beautiful portrayal of our relationship to God - how that He cares about every detail. I know that, but I don't always act like I know it. Thank you for this message. Have a wonderful day.
