How exciting that we get a chance to gather again but this time in Houston next January!!
I am just in the mood to ask because I want to know:
If you have been memorizing scripture with Beth and the siestas, are you planning on going to Houston next year?
I didn't want to call this a roll call because that is what I always call it. lol
I was so excited to read what Beth had written along with our 6th memory verse!! What a fun weekend!! God is good!!!
This has the same feel to me as Bible drill. :)

I am memorizing scripture right along with all ya'll but not going to be able to go to Houston cause I would so love too. Too far but still memorizing.

and I'm loooooving my scriptures I've been memorizing. So many times at night, they play through my head, instead of all the thoughts and plans and worries for the next day.
Just imagine how far along I'd be if I'd been doing this all along! :)
I am planning on being there. How exciting! I can't wait! This will be my first Siesta meet and greet. I can't wait to see everyone in person and pass out some hugs and hearfelt thanks for the encouragement they give each day!

I've been doing the scripture memory, and I don't know how I'll get there or anything, but I'm having faith that I'll be there! Surely when I'm this close I can find a way to get there! I'm very excited!

So hard to answer a question about where God will take you in almost a year, but I'm going to try my best to get there. Husband has friends in Houston and so I would even have a free place to stay.
We'll see what the year holds, though.

I attended the San Antonio Conference in August and heard all the excitement about the "Siestas" and "blogging"... I didn't know what either was, but my interest was perked from the conference! After I got home, I researched it and I began blogging just this November and have been into it ever since. Praise God for you all!
I'm memorizing scripture~ something God laid on my heart before I knew LPM was having the challenge. I am all over the LPM challenge.

Just to check it out I did look at possible airfares. I can fly on Southwest from Tampa to Houston for a reasonable price roundtrip. Hmmm :) Now to just trust God for that reasonable amount of money :)

I've fallen off the wagon but am motivated to get back to memorizing me some Word. Nothing is a better motivator than the idea of leaving the frozen tundra in Janaury for a few days in Houston!!!

God is so good and has enabled me to memorize the verses He has laid on my heart. I am so grateful. I would love to go to Houston. I wonder if any more Mississippi Siestas will be making the trip?
We'll see what happens and in the meantime, I'll keep memorizing!

I'm so excited you posted about this. I had been checking for a few days to see if there was any more info out there. I'm soooo excited! I'm a southern siesta out of Atlanta and have not really traveled outside of going to the beach in Florida, so this will be a celebration and an adventure for me. I'm sure there are other southern siestas out there who can help me out with details of flying to Houston??!!! Praying God will confirm, but I'm loving memorizing His Word!

HI, i just stumbled across your blog, can i join your siesta fiesta blog? i am doing the scripture memorizing and YES i am going to try my hardest to get to Houston! I was so excited to see her post that blog, my family and husband thinks i'm crazy!! been checking airlines but think its probably better to wait til it gets a little closer to get a lower price. i will be coming from Washington state. Anyone have any good information on hotels?
Memorizing scripture is just so what I needed during this season. I am loving it! Yes, I am planning on coming. I havn't worked out any major details yet.
