I cannot believe it is this time of year and we are talking Christmas.
I participated in an ornament exchange last year and it was so much fun that I thought we would have one here.
If you would like to join in the fun, please email me at....pwilliamsut@aol.com OR leave a comment. Please have your name submitted by October 30th if you want to participate. At that time the sign up for the Ornament exchange will be closed.
We will pair you up and send you an email with the name of your siesta.
The Christmas Ornament Exchange Rules:
Please send your ornament to your siesta in time for them to get it by 12-01-08.
On Monday, 12-8-08 we will have an ornament show and tell. A linky will be provided so we can visit each other's blogs and look at our ornaments.
You can send more than an ornament if you prefer. Last year my friend sent me different ornaments and candy etc.... it was so much fun to open each gift but whatever you feel led to give after the ornament is up to you. :)
When you get your siesta name you can email one another and ask what things they like or you can just surprise them. My friend wrote me last year and asked me a few things that I liked and I did the same for her and it was so much fun to shop for her. Also, you can exchange addresses.
Have fun with this. Be creative. Keep it simple. Whatever you feel like doing!!! We have plenty of time to buy our ornament and plenty of time to mail it to be there by 12-01-08!!!
In keeping with our Christmas Exchange....a sweet friend bought me two cds, one for myself and one to give away. Travis Cottrell's Christmas cd. SO, leave us a comment here and you will be entered for this giveaway. This giveaway will run through October with the winner announced on 10-30-08. Help us spread the word--the more Siestas sharing, the merrier! Paste this code into your sidebar, if you will.

Sounds like so much fun and a very easy one for me to do. My business for the past 15 years has been decorating houses for Christmas. My shop "runneth over" with ornaments right now. I (along with all the elves I hire) decorate 50 plus houses and this year we begin October 27. My tree is up (I know that is sick) but a must this year because of an October vacation. So sign me up .
My goal all year has been to a get a blog up and running... I am believing it will happen in early 2009.
I love Christmas music. I would guess that I have 100 plus holiday CD's. I just cannot pass a display without buying all the new ones. Some people like shoes, I love Christmas music.
I loved meeting so many of you in San Antonio.

I started collecting patriotic ornaments a few years ago and am amazed that I can still find new ones every year. My grandchildren call my Christmas tree "the American tree" - I thought I would tire of decorating my tree this way but I still love it and now talking about it I am wanting to go get in the attic and get everything out and start decorating. Last year I added new lights that have a remote and 4 settings - this year I am going to use a revolving tree stand so I can enjoy seeing all of the ornaments as they turn on the tree.

Oh my goodness, it has been forever since I was able to read the blog and really absorb what is going on. I did order Travis's new Christmas album. What a fun idea! I love ornaments, they're each a story to remember when I hang them up every year! I just "found" Beth Moore this year, (her teachings - we did her Daniel study at church, her speakings - I saw her LPL this summer and her blog - I'm a big fan!) so having an ornament to remind me of the dear sisters I've met in Christ through her ministries would be a great blessing to me.
